Anum Imran

Law Clerk

Anum Imran is a passionate advocate with experience in both humanitarian and business immigration. Anum graduated from George Mason University’s School of Law, where through the immigration litigation clinic, she assisted various individual clients with their asylum applications and helped detained clients navigate removal proceedings. In addition to the clinic, Anum clerked at an immigration law firm focusing on humanitarian relief, gaining foundational expertise in affirmative and defensive immigration proceedings. Since joining Kodem Son Tang Law Group as a law clerk in 2024, Anum has directed her focus toward employment-based visa applications.

Anum’s work spans the full spectrum of immigration law.  The matter types include non-immigrant visas (E, L, H, O and TNs), employment-based immigrant visas (EB1A and NIWs), family-based permanent resident applications (I-130s and I-485s), and removal defense (asylum, cancellation of removal, and custody proceedings).

Having spent over a decade volunteering and leading immigrant community work, Anum is looking forward to serving as a legal representative and continuing to expand her support of immigrant communities.

Why do I practice U.S. immigration law ?

My interest in immigration law is rooted in both my personal immigration history and my exposure to diverse migrant communities throughout my life. Having lived in multiple countries (Pakistan, U.A.E, Switzerland), I have experienced and witnessed the challenges of immigration and resettlement for foreign nationals. My goal is to support individuals and families seeking to take the next step forward in their lives by guiding them through the immigration process and helping them reach their new home here in the U.S., where they can share their skills and experience in the workforce and enhance our communities.
