Mia vanValkenburgh, as the Office Manager and Paralegal at KST, plays an integral role in assisting the entire team to execute the preparation of immigrant and non-immigrant visa cases for corporate and individual clients. Prior to working at Kodem Son Tang, Mia worked as an immigration paralegal for Murray Osorio PLLC and a patent paralegal for Muir Patent Law PLLC, working with international clients, focusing on servicing Japanese corporations. Before joining the legal field, Mia worked as a management consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and KPMG in client services where she managed process improvement and risk and regulatory compliance for international corporations.

As a U.S. immigrant since childhood (from E-1 dependent to F-1, to H-1B and LPR), Mia understands the complexity of immigration law and the challenges that her clients encounter when going through the immigration and naturalization processes. She utilizes her personal life experience and the knowledge she has gained as an immigration paralegal to offer various perspectives to assist our foreign national clients on their journey to living and working in the U.S.
